Since you already decided to make grain free treats for your dog I will give you homemade grain free dog treats recipes that are fast and easy to make, only a few ingredients and it will take you less than 30 min to have it ready. Before I give you my list of homemade recipes I would like to include the list of ingredients one that you should use and, one that you should not use it.

Grain free flours

Potato flour – High in carbohydrates, high in protein, loaded with potassium, heavier flour makes it good texture for dog food or grain free treats.

Hemp flour – High in fiber great source of protein, short shelf life need to be refrigerated after baking.

Almond flour – high in protein, low in carbs, good source of fiber and vitamin E. almond flour is a heavier flour, so leaving your baked grain free dog treats in the pan a little longer after removing it from the oven is best.

Coconut flour – Great source of fiber and is low in carbohydrates. High fiber content in coconut flour will soak up moisture in your homemade dog treats recipes it is best to add an extra egg, chia seed or flax seed slurry, unsweetened applesauce or water to keep your recipe moist.

Tapioca flour – Light fluffy texture, bread and pastry like texture, low on carbohydrates low on fiber most part of carbohydrates is sugar. Best for sweet and fruity grain free dog treats recipes.

Ingredients not to use in grain free dog treats

Corn – Most of the corn is genetically modified (GMO), dog food is loaded with corn just to give more volume.

Beef liver snaps recipe

This Beef liver snaps are awesome and perfect for parties.

  • 1 lbs beef liver ((half inch thick stripes))
  • 2 cloves garlic
  1. Preheat you oven to 375 degrees. In the medium pot boil water, cut beef liver in long half inch thick stripes.
  2. Put together 2 cloves of garlic and beef liver in the boiling water, boil for 15 minutes,
  3. Place beef liver stripes in the sheet using parchment paper and bake (dry) for 15 minutes.
  4. Take out of oven let cool down and store in proper container.

Grain free quick lamb treats recipe

  • 2 cups ground lamb ((cooked))
  • 1 cup Tapioca flour
  • 1-2/3 cup Tiger Nut flour
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 egg ((beaten))
  • 1-1/8 cup water
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Combine cooked lamb with all dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix egg, oil and water, add gradually to dry ingredients stir to mix well. Dough should form a sticky ball.
  3. Using a teaspoon, scoop and form a small oval shape. Place on a baking sheet using parchment paper.
  4. Bake 20 minutes or until the treats are firm.

Grain free apple chicken treats recipe

  • 2 cups ground Chicken ((cooked))
  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 1 cup Arrowroot flour
  • 1/4 cup Chia flour
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp applesauce
  • 2 eggs ((beaten))
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Mix ground chicken with all dry ingredients.
  2. Add applesauce and peanut butter and stir well. In a separate bowl mix the eggs and water, do not overbeat the eggs. Add to the dough.
  3. Add a little more water if the mixture is too dry – you want a firm dough. Knead for a few minutes. Roll out to 1/2″ thickness. Cut into desired shapes.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until treats are brown and firm.

Grain free turkey treats recipe

  • 2 cups ground turkey ((cooked))
  • 1-1/2 cups Potato flour
  • 1 cup Tapioca flour
  • 1 egg ((beaten))
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1-2/3 cups water
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix ground turkey with all dry ingredients together well.
  2. Mix egg, oil, water and chicken broth in small bowl, add to dry ingredients and stir well. Add a little more water if the mixture is too dry.
  3. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll out dough to about 1/8 inch thickness and cut out desired shapes or use teaspoon to make balls.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes, or until treats are brown.

Grain free parsley chicken liver treats recipe

  • 1 cup chopped chicken liver ((cooked))
  • 2 cups Tapioca flour
  • 1 Arrowroot flour
  • 1 egg ((beaten))
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Combine all dry ingredients.
  2. In separate bowl, mix egg with oil, then add broth & parsley, mix well. Add to the dough. Fold in chicken livers and mix well. Dough will be firm.
  3. Turn dough out on lightly floured surface and knead briefly. Roll out 1/2″ thick and cut into shapes. Place on a baking sheet using parchment paper.
  4. Bake 20 minutes or until the treats are firm.

Grain free apple cinnamon treats recipe

  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups Tapioca flour
  • 1 cup Coconut flour
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 egg ((beaten))
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Combine all dry ingredients. In separate bowl, mix eggs, applesauce and water.
  2. Add to the dough, add more water if needed. Using spoon pour the batter into each mold or use small deep sheet.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly brown. For crispier treats, leave the sheet with baked treats inside the oven with the oven turned off.

Grain free banana treats recipe

  • 3 cups mashed ripe banana
  • 1 cup Potato flour
  • 1 cup Green banana flour
  • 1 Tbsp almond flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 4 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs ((beaten))
  • 2 cups beef stock broth
  • 1/2 cup water ((hot))
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Combine all dry ingredients.

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Combine all dry ingredients.
  2. In separate bowl, mix eggs, beef broth, parsley and water. Add to the dough. Fold in ground pork and mix well. Dough will be firm.
  3. Add potato flour or water if necessary. Turn dough out on lightly floured surface and knead briefly. Roll out 1/2″ thick and cut into shapes you like.

  • 2 cups Tapioca flour
  • 2 Tbsp chia flour
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs ((beaten))
  • 1/2 cup mint ((chopped))
  • 1/2 cup parsley ((chopped))
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Combine all dry ingredients.

  • 2 cups ground chicken ((cooked))
  • 1 cup Tapioca flour
  • 1 cup Potato flour
  • 1/4 cup Chia flour
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil

  • 2 eggs ((beaten))
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Mix ground chicken with all dry ingredients.
  2. Add mashed sweet potato and stir well. In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, oil and water, do not overbeat the eggs. Add to the dough.

  • 2 cups ground raw salmon
  • 1 cup Tapioca flour
  • 1-2/3 cups Tiger Nut flour
  • 1 clove garlic ((minced))
  • 4 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 egg ((beaten))
  • 1 tbsp parsley ((chopped))
  • 1-1/8 cups water
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Combine salmon with all dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix, egg, oil and water, add gradually to dry ingredients stir to mix well. Add garlic and parsley, keep mixing.
  3. Dough should form a sticky ball. Using a teaspoon, scoop and form a small oval shape. Place on a baking sheet using parchment paper.

  • 2 cups Tapioca flour
  • 4 Tbsp chia flour
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1-1/2 cup pumpkin puree

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Combine all dry ingredients.
  2. In separate bowl, mix oil, applesauce, pumpkin puree and water. Add to the dough, add more water if needed.

Grain free vegan carrot treats recipe

  • 1 cup carrots ((shredded))
  • 2 cups Potato flour
  • 1 cup Tiger Nut flour
  • 1/2 cup peas flour
  • 1/2 cup apple sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp parsley ((chopped))
  • 1/2 cup steamed spinach ((chopped))
  • 1 cup water ((warm))
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Combine all dry ingredients.
  2. In separate bowl, mix apple sauce with oil and water, then add spinach and parsley, mix well. Add to the dough. Add carrots last and mix it. Add more water or potato flour if needed. Dough will be firm.
  3. Turn dough out on lightly floured surface and knead briefly. Roll out 1/2″ thick and cut into desirable shapes. Place on a baking sheet using parchment paper.
  4. Bake 20 minutes or until the treats are firm.

Crispy sardine snaps recipe

  • 2 cans sardines in oil
  1. Open the cans, drain oil from sardines using a kitchen strainer, let it sit for 2 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place sardines in a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Bake (dry) for 20 min or until sardines are crispy.
